Ballina court remands man in connection with Collins murder

A 48-year-old man has appeared in court in Mayo charged with the murder of Sandra Collins in December 2000.

The 29-year-old was last seen in the Killala area of Co Mayo.

Today Martin Earley, from Banagher, Carrowmore Lacken in Co. Mayo, appeared at a special sitting of Ballina District court charged with her murder.

He has been remanded in custody to appear again next Friday.
