A man has been jailed for 13 years today for killing teenager Niall Dorr two years ago.

A man has been jailed for 13 years today for killing teenager Niall Dorr two years ago.

Douglas Ward (aged 37) from Loughantarve, Knockbridge, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of the 18-year-old on the night of October 14, 2010.

The Central Criminal Court heard the teenager was punched and kicked after he tried to act as a peacemaker when a row broke out outside a house party in Dundalk.
