Comedian Lynch to make Temple St donation after failing to pay train fare
Comedian Katherine Lynch has agreed to make a €100 donation to Temple Street Hospital after being prosecuted for failing to pay a train fare.
Irish Rail Inspectors told Dublin District Court the RTE presenter was loud and rude during the incident on a Dublin-Sligo train last year.
Katherine Lynch told the Judge she was in a rush to catch the train, and was advised she could buy a ticket on board.
She said she was happy to make a donation to charity, but refused to accept she had deliberately evaded paying the €32 fare.
