Pair charged in connection with incident which led to death of father of two
Two men have been charged in connection with a row last St Stephen's Night in Cork in which a man who was assaulted later died.
Forty-eight year-old Finbar Delaney and 36-year-old Keith Spillane were both charged with violent disorder at the Manhattan Bar on Lower Friar's Walk in Cork.
Mr Spillane was also charged with producing a pick-axe handle.
Mr Delaney's brother, 51-year-old Gerard, a father of two from Lakelands Crescent in Mahon was fatally assaulted in the incident and later died at Cork University Hospital.
Both men have been remanded to appear in court again on January 23.
