Massive garda presence at crime boss Kelly's funeral
A massive garda presence is expected at the funeral of Eamon Kelly from 11am today.
The crime boss and convicted drug dealer was gunned down in broad daylight near his home on Furry Park Road in Killester last week.
It is believed the 65-year-old career criminal, who was dubbed 'The Godfather', is believed to have been murdered in revenge for the killing of Alan Ryan in September.
Crime reporter with the Irish Daily Mirror Cathal McMahon said gardaà would be present to prevent further attacks, but also in a covert capacity for surveillance purposes to monitor who is attending the funeral.
