Two arrested after armed raid in Dublin's Clarehall

Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed raid at a supermarket in the Clarehall area of Dublin last night.
Shortly before 10.30pm, two men armed with a knife entered the premises on the Malahide Road and threatened two staff members, before tying them up and assaulting them.
The pair then fled the scene on foot with a sum of cash.
The workers - who were not seriously injured - raised the alarm. Soon afterwards, gardaí made two arrests nearby and recovered cash.
Two men are now being questioned at Coolock garda station under Section four of the Criminal Justice Act and investigations are continuing.
