Man treated for serious head injuries following Temple Bar assault

A 21 year old man is in hospital this evening being treated for serious head injuries following an incident in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

At around 3.20am a fight broke out between two groups of young people on Essex Street in Temple Bar.

The injured man was taken to St James Hospital but later transferred to Beaumont.

Gardaí in Pearse St are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them
