Oireachtas to gather for turning on of Christmas lights

Members of the Dáil and the Seanad will be getting into the Christmas spirit tonight, with the turning on of the Oireachtas Christmas lights - on the eve of Budget 2013.

The ceremony will be conducted by the Ceann Comhairle, Sean Barrett TD, and will be attended by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny, as well as the Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore.

Opposition party leaders Micheal Martin and Gerry Adams will also be stopping by for a look, and to listen to the carols of the Trinity Dublin Gospel Choir.
