Gardaí have released a woman and two teenagers they had been questioning in connection with the death of a German student in Dublin on Saturday morning.

Gardaí have released a woman and two teenagers they had been questioning in connection with the death of a German student in Dublin on Saturday morning.

Twenty-two-year-old Thomas Heinrich, who was originally from Frankfurt, was stabbed to death after a fight broke out at in the Herberton apartments on St Anthony's Road in Rialto.

Another man who was also injured in the knife attack is still receiving treatment in hospital.

A woman in her 40s was detained for questioning yesterday. Two teenage boys were also detained on Saturday in connection with Mr Heinrich's murder and were also released last night.

They were being questioned at Kevin Street garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
