PSNI arrest man in Newry in dissident republican investigation

A man has been arrested in Newry, Co. Down, in relation to dissident republican activity.

The 29-year-old was detained after detectives from PSNI's Serious Crime Branch carried out searches in the Derrybeg and Main Avenue areas of the city earlier today.

A number of items were taken away for examination and the suspect is now being questioned at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.
