Man extradited from Spain over south Dublin indecent assault charge
A former athletics coach has been extradited from Spain on a charge of indecently assaulting a teenage boy in South Dublin in the late 1980s.
Dublin District Court heard Colin Goggin - of no fixed abode in Ireland - was arrested at Dublin airport this lunchtime.
The 49-year-old from Dublin has been living in Spain for the past five years.
Sergeant Colm O'Giollain gave evidence the 49-year-old replied 'no' when the charge was put to him.
There was no application for bail and Judge Patricia McNamara has remanded him in custody for a week.
