A Dublin man accused of membership of the IRA was not unlawfully detained by gardai who searched his vehicle, the Special Criminal Court has ruled.

Derek Palmer (aged 56), of Corduff Green, Blanchardstown, has pleaded not guilty to membership of an unlawful organisation within the State styling itself the Irish Republican Army, otherwise Oglaigh na hÉireann, otherwise the IRA on July 14, 2011.
