A former senior garda has been given a suspended sentence and a €5,000 fine for leaking a confidential government report to an Evening Herald reporter.

A motorcycle courier who was selling cut-price ecstasy at €250 for 100 tablets to raise extra money for his family has had his sentence adjourned by Judge Tony Hunt at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
