Man in hospital after industrial accident in Cork

A man in his mid-forties has been seriously injured in an industrial accident in Co. Cork.

He was carrying out works on the Cork to Carrigaline Road when the incident occured earlier today.

The man was brought to Cork University Hospital where he is said to be in a critical condition.

An investigation has been launched.
