Gardaí investigate DCU cash-in-transit robbery
Gardaí have opened an investigation after two men escaped with a sum of cash following the armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van outside a Hodges Figgis bookstore in DCU this afternoon.
Eye witnesses speaking to DCU Fm, said at least one of the two men was armed, with further reports of €1000 in cash being stolen.
"A woman came running into the shop…saying 'has anybody taken security because there's a robbery happening outside right now?'," an employee of the book store told the student radio station.
