Man critically ill after Galway hit-and-run

A man in his 60s is in a critical condition in hospital after he was struck in a suspected hit-and-run accident in Co Galway.

The pedestrian was hit by a vehicle when he tried to cross a road in Ardrahan village last night. Gardaí said the driver failed to remain at the scene.
