Extra funding to supply 300 new teachers in new year

It is hoped 300 new teaching posts may become available in primary schools in the new year, thanks to additional funding being made available to support children with special needs.

The National Council for Special Education has announced that primary schools will get another €28m in funding for the remainder of the 2012/2013 school year.
