Gynaecology expert to head Savita investigation team

The HSE has said it is in the process of appointing an independent expert to oversee the work of its inquiry into the death of Savita Halappanavar in Galway last month.

The 31-year-old died after contracting septicaemia during a miscarriage at University Hospital Galway.
