Cork property developer claims TD refused to apologise, court hears
A Cork property developer has told the High Court Junior Minister Lucinda Creighton refused to issue an open public apology after he complained about comments she made about him while discussing poor standards in public life.
Michael O'Flynn is suing the Fine Gael TD for damages arising from a speech she gave to the Magill Summer School in July 2010, denouncing 'cute hoor' politics.
In a follow-up interview on RTE radio she criticicised his attendance, as a Nama developer, at a golf fundraiser for the party at the K club a few days earlier.
He has also claimed she made defamatory comments about him to The Irish Times.
