Woman recovering in Cork hospital after being shot in leg

A woman in her 20s is recovering after being shot in the leg during an altercation on the Kilmore Road in Knocknaheeny, Cork yesterday evening.

Gardai say the incident happened around 6.30pm.

The woman was taken to the Mercy University Hospital and later transferred to Cork University Hospital but her injuries are not life-threatening.

A pellet gun was recovered during a search of a house in the Kilmore Road.
