Investigation launched after disappearance of Laois woman
An investigation has been launched into the disappearance of a 30 year old woman from Co Laois.
Aoife Phelan from Ballyroan was last seen over two days ago.
Her disappearance comes as gardaí continue to search for 18 year old Cormac Clare from Co Kildare.
Gardaí in Portlaoise are asking for help from the public in tracing Phelan, who was last seen last Thursday evening, when she visited a friend's house.
Aoife is described as five foot seven in height, of slim build, with long blonde or sandy coloured hair and blue eyes.
When last seen, she was wearing jeans and a knitted jumper, and she had a red bomber style jacket with her.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, searches are continuing today for Cormac Clare from Kilteel in Co Kildare, who was last seen last Monday.
Cormac is described as being six foot one in height, of thin build with short brown hair.
Gardaí say they are especially eager to speak to anyone who may have seen Cormac near his home or hitchhiking near the N7 or N81 roads last Monday.
