Second man charged in connection with Ryan murder

A second man has been charged in connection with the murder of Real IRA boss Alan Ryan in September.

Mr Ryan was shot dead in broad daylight as he walked down the street in Clongriffin in Dublin.

Last night, a 27-year-old man was charged in connection with his murder. He is due to appear in court later this morning.

Yesterday a death threat was made in court to 39-year-old Thomas Hunt when he appeared on charges of withholding information in connection with Mr Ryan's Death.

The court room was cleared, with just Mr Hunt’s family members, gardaí, solicitors and members of the media allowed to remain for the hearing, which was held under the Bail Act.
