Man arrested over murder of Romanian man in Cavan
A suspect is being questioned over the murder of a Romanian stabbed to death in his home.
The 40-year-old victim was attacked when two men forced their way into the apartment in Cavan on Saturday night.
A suspect, in his 40s, was arrested last night in connection with the death.
He is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended at Cavan Garda Station.
The knife attack happened in front of the dead man’s partner in a property in Connolly Court.
It is understood he had only arrived in Ireland a few days ago.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone who witnessed anything unusual or suspicious in or around Connolly Court apartments between 10pm and midnight to come forward.
