Parents 'must attend masses' before kids can receive first holy communion

Catholic parents are being asked to cut out lavish spending when it comes to their children's first holy communion.

The Archbishop of Dublin, Dr Diarmuid Martin, said extravagant spending is "wrong", and communion should be kept simple.
