Taoiseach 'believes Adams was IRA man'

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said he believes Gerry Adams was a member of the IRA and of the organisation's army council.

The Taoiseach said he has come to that conclusion from everything he has read and heard.

Mr Adams has always denied being a member, but Mr Kenny has said the Sinn Féin President should make a statement on the matter.
