Bruton: Waste already being tackled in public service
A Government Minister has said attempts to wipe out inefficiencies and waste in the public service are already being made.
It comes after the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, John McGuinness, declared there was a need for more competent people to be brought into the public service.
Mr McGuinness made the comments in the wake of the latest report from the Comptroller and Auditor General.
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton said better accountability regarding taxpayers money is already being put at the core of the public service.
