Man dies after overnight collision

A 24-year-old man has died after an overnight crash in Co Meath.

He was a passenger in a car being driven by a 23-year-old woman about a kilometre from Dunshaughlin, shortly before 5am.

The man was brought to Navan hospital, where he lost his fight for life this morning.

The woman is being treated for her injuries at Blanchardstown hospital and gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

The road will remain closed until this afternoon.
