Boy, six, saves mum's life thanks to 'Fireman Sam' advice
A six-year-old British boy potentially saved his pregnant mum's life thanks to advice from TV show 'Fireman Sam'.
Liam Robinson got help for his mum Rebecca Forsyth, who had collapsed, by calling the emergency services after remembering what to do thanks to a line from the fictional TV character's song, which advises people to "dial 999" in an emergency, in the children's programme.
Rebecca is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "He climbed on the bookshelf to reach the phone and rang the ambulance. We had taught him to ring 999 in an emergency.
“He was amazing, we are just so proud of him.”
When Rebecca woke up she saw Liam waiting at the door for the paramedics to arrive.
She has now fully recovered and Liam is due to receive an award from the North East Ambulance Service for his quick actions.
