Carlow: Man shot at his front door

A 25-year-old man was injured in a shooting at his front door.

The man was hit in his knee and stomach in the attack in the early hours of this morning in his home on the Burrin Road, Carlow.

His injuries are not life-threatening.

Gardaí said the man was shot at 2.25am after answering a call to his door and he was being treated at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.
