Gardaí question six in connection with Galway cannabis seizure

Gardaí are continuing to question six people in relation to the seizure of €750,000 worth of cannabis plants in Galway yesterday.

Five men and a woman were arrested after Gardaí from the Divisional Drug Unit carried out searches as part of a planned operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Western Region.

Officers searched two houses in Tuam and another house in Oughterard.

All six people arrested are being detained at Galway and Loughrea Garda stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
