A 52-year-old man has been arrested in connection with dissident republican activity in Co Down.

A 52-year-old man has been arrested in connection with dissident republican activity in Co Down.

PSNI detectives from the Serious Crime branch made the arrest after they stopped and searched a car on the main Belfast to Dublin road near Hillsborough last night.

The man is being held at Antrim Serious Crime suite for questioning.
