Real IRA boss Ryan being buried in Dublin
Murder victim Alan Ryan is being laid to rest this morning in North Dublin.
Known to have been linked to the Real IRA, the 32-year-old was shot dead in Clongriffen last Monday afternoon.
A large garda presence is expected at the funeral mass this morning at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Donaghmeade.
Meanwhile, traffic restrictions are in place in north Dublin this morning because of the funeral. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys.
Ryan was gunned down close to his home last Monday afternoon.
Gardaí arrested a man in his 40s last night in relation to the killing. He is being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. Gardaí have not disclosed which station he is being detained at.
