Gardaí are appealing for information after the discovery of a woman's body in Co Louth.

Gardaí are appealing for information after the discovery of a woman's body in Co Louth.

The woman, in her 30s, was found dead at a house in the College Manor area of Dundalk in the early hours of this morning.

Investigating officers are treating the death as suspicious and the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis has been called in.

Superintendent Gerry Curley of Dundalk garda station is leading the investigation: "I'm appealing for witnesses to any person who was in the College Manor are in Dundalk between midnight and 3.30am this morning.

"We need anybody who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at that time to contact us at Dundalk garda station."
