Deenihan to re-open Russborough House west wing
A restored wing of what's been dubbed 'the jewel in the crown' of Ireland's great houses will officially re-open today.
The minister for Arts and Heritage Jimmy Deenihan will be on hand later to reveal the work done on the West Wing of Russborough House in Blessington, Co. Wicklow.
That part of the 18th century mansion was badly damaged by fire in February 2010.
But it's now been repaired and converted into two self-catering apartments, which it's hoped will attract more tourists to the area.
