Fresh search for missing teenager
Renewed searches were taking place today for a teenager missing since leaving a nightclub at the weekend.
James Sheehan, 18, was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning when he left the venue in Arklow, Co Wicklow.
Family and friends searched across the town yesterday and dozens of volunteers scoured the area around the river walk this morning. A Garda organised search was taking place later.
Mr Sheehan, from Ballyduff Road in Arklow, was last seen leaving the nightclub at 2.38am on Sunday.
A Garda spokesman said the teenager is 6ft 2in and of athletic build, with short tightly cut red hair. He was wearing a light grey Henley hoodie with a neon orange lining, blue jeans and tan Kickers shoes.
CCTV from around business premises in the town has revealed that he left Sally O’Brien’s nightclub and walked down Condren’s Lane. The battery on his phone expired on Sunday morning.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Arklow Garda Station.
