Animal rights activists set to protest in Dublin

Animal rights activists will stage a demonstration this afternoon in protest against fur farms in Ireland.

ALiberation will hang a 15-foot banner off O'Connell bridge in Dublin in a bid to stop the breeding of animals for fur.

The practice was due to be phased out over a three year period, which would finally see fur farming banned.

The group is arguing that the Government is blocking the ban.
