Man in Ennis court over transatlantic flight disturbance

A man is due to appear in court tomorrow in relation to a disturbance on a flight to Shannon from the United States over the weekend.

A man is due to appear in court tomorrow in relation to a disturbance on a flight to Shannon from the United States over the weekend.

The American national was arrested on Saturday morning after the captain of the flight from Newark to Shannon reported a disruptive passenger on board.

It's understood the 41-year-old man was restrained by crew on board the flight and was arrested by gardaí when it landed at Shannon Airport.

He's due to appear at Ennis District court tomorrow at noon.
