Court rejects O'Reilly appeal

Convicted wife killer Joseph O’Reilly has today failed in his latest appeal against the life sentence he is serving for murder.

Mr Justice Michael Peart dismissed his application to the High Court for a declaration under Article 40 of the Constitution that his detention in the Midlands Prison is unlawful and directing his release.
