Firefighters battle blaze at Kilkenny oil depot
In Kilkenny, a major fire has broken out at an oil depot, causing some roads to close and train services to be suspended.
An oil truck is believed to have caught fire shortly before midday at an oil deport on the Kilmacow to Waterford road.
A 1km exclusion zone has been set up in the area as emergency services work to bring the blaze under control.
Poor visibility is being reported on the Dublin to Waterford motorway as a result and motorists are asked not to use the Mullinavat exit until further notice.
Diversions are in place and Irish Rail services have also been effected.
The Waterford train service is only running between Heuston Station and Kilkenny until tomorrow morning and a bus transfer is in operation.
