Man due in Dublin court after attempted robbery on James St
A man in his 30s will appear before a Dublin court later, charged in relation to the violent attempted robbery of a shop in the city centre last weekend.
During the raid, a man threatened two staff members with a syringe. One of them later collapsed and was taken to hospital.
The attempted robbery happened shortly before 10pm on James St last Saturday night.
The suspect was arrested when gardaí arrived at the scene.
He has since been treated in hospital for a leg injury, and is due in court this morning.
