Bail for Dr Michael Shine

Retired surgeon Dr Michael Shine been remanded on bail until October after being formally charged with a number of sex offences.

The former consultant at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda was brought before Dublin District Court today and charged with 25 counts of indecent assault against 16 males between the mid 1960's and mid 1980's.
