Bail granted for son of man cleared of Omagh bombing

The son of a man who was convicted but later cleared of the 1998 Omagh bombing has today been granted bail pending an appeal against his conviction for explosives offences.

Conan Murphy (aged 25) is the son of Dundalk man Colm Murphy who was convicted of the Real IRA bombing but successfully appealed his conviction in a retrial.
