Court to hear Priory Hall developer's bankruptcy case today

Tom McFeely's bid to be declared bankrupt will be before the High Court later.

It follows an appeal ruling by the High Court in London overturning the Priory Hall developer's UK bankruptcy declaration.

The former IRA H-Block striker said he was a British subject who should not be subjected to Ireland's “punitive” bankruptcy rules.

However he failed to disclose that a creditor Theresa McGuinness from Rush, Co Dublin – who bought a house from McFeely – had already initiated bankruptcy proceedings against the developer in the Irish courts.
