Limerick man faces sentencing for killing father

A 24 year old Limerick man is to be sentenced today for killing his father in a drunken fight.

Gerard McNamara of Cedar Court, Kennedy Park, Limerick, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Joseph O'Donnell at Hyde Road on October 1, 2010.

The accused apparently grew angry while drinking with his father, after he suggested he would need to take a paternity test to ensure they were father and son.
