Mauritius PM: I know who leaked Michaela pictures
The Prime Minister of Mauritius has said that he knows who leaked the photographs of Michaela McAreavey's dead body to a newspaper.
In an interview published in today's Irish Independent, Navin Ramglooam said the source of the pictures did not come from within the police force itself, but from someone else close to the case.
He said the source of the leak would be confirmed within days, and added that the journalist who wrote the article in last week's Mauritian Sunday Times had been interviewed by police.
Meanwhile, Mr Ramglooam also said he would issue an invite to the Gardaí and the PSNI to assist in the investigation of Michaela McAreavey's murder.
Navin Ramgoolam told his parliament that he would write to both forces inviting them to send officers to help with the inquiry.
Justice Minister Alan Shatter said such a request was likely to be favourably received.
