Garda Commissioner meets Swedish House Mafia gig organisers

The Garda Commissioner is today meeting organisers of Saturday night's Swedish House Mafia concert in the Phoenix Park.

Martin Callinan will discuss the violent scenes at the concert and will compile a report on the event after a Garda review of the concert.

The incidents at the gig have raised concerns about the issue of underage drinking.

Director of Alcohol Action Ireland Fiona Ryan said it was time to clamp down on teenage access to alcohol.

"We need to look at how we regard alcohol," she said."It's not a grocery like bread or milk...It is a drug, a licenced substance and it should not be easy for 15- and 16-year-olds to buy a drug."
