A five-year-old child whose left leg was scalded by a spillage of tea on an Aer Lingus flight, has been awarded €7,000 damages in the Circuit Civil Court.

A five-year-old child whose left leg was scalded by a spillage of tea on an Aer Lingus flight, has been awarded €7,000 damages in the Circuit Civil Court.

Barrister Cormac MacNamara told Circuit Court President, Mr Justice Matthew Deery, that little Sophie Gorman was asleep in her mother’s lap when the incident occurred.
