McGuiness resists call to step down from PAC for banking inquiry
Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee John McGuinness says he has no intention of stepping aside from the role during an examination of Ireland's banking collapse.
His comments come after Minister Pat Rabbitte has suggested that Deputy McGuiness would not be the right person to head a probe as he was a member of the Fianna Fáil Government which was in power and oversaw the bank guarantee in 2008.
