Gardaí warn against Cork City burglaries

Gardaí in Cork City are warning the public to be vigilant in relation to a number of burglaries.

Callers to houses have been representing themselves as employees of Local Authorities indicating that they need to check Gas, Power or Water supplies.

Areas that have been targeted include the Ballinlough, Douglas and Rochestown area of Cork.

Homeowners are being told to ask all such callers for ID.
