Man hunt after attempted robbery at Ulster Bank

An Ulster Bank branch has been robbed in County Down.

An man entered the bank in Castlewellan shortly before 11am this morning, and threatened staff at gunpoint before escaping with a cash box.

The cash box was found abandoned nearby and it is understood some money was still inside.

The PSNI is appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
